Much of the staff at the University of Vienna experience an excessive workload,
often coupled with a lacking perspective of continuous employment. This
impact negatively on the quality of our research, teaching, supervision,
academic self-administration, public outreach (third mission), and service to
the field, all of which constitute vitally important tasks for a public university.
At the open networking meeting, we will discuss the following topics:
- What are the issues that affect different employment groups?
- What are the possible solutions for each issue and at what level should they be implemented (e.g. Ministry, Rectorate, Faculties, Departments)?
- What forms of mobilization are necessary to reach our goals?
- What other groups are active on these issues in Vienna and elsewhere?
Come by, share your experiences, and get involved! All employee groups are warmly invited.
